How Taiketsusen works
- Unlock: clear EXTRA Stage 5 in any World.
- Team size: up to 8 units per side.
- Battles: auto-battled — you build your team, then the match resolves automatically rather than being manually controlled turn by turn.
- Attempts: costs PP. You get up to 7 PP per day from natural regeneration (full refill daily during the event). PP Recovery items refill it too, and D-Crystals can refill PP at a rate of 5 D-Crystals per PP recovery, usable up to twice a day — so a fully-resourced day caps out around 11 attempts.
- Rewards: winning raises your rating, and your rank at the end of the event determines rewards — including unit-upgrade materials and general-purpose skill orbs.
Units that keep showing up in strong teams
PVP-focused community analysis (particularly a series of Taiketsusen write-ups on note.com) repeatedly names these as near-essential or consistently strong picks. Treat this as commonly-cited, not a definitive ranking — the PVP metagame shifts with each Taiketsusen run as new units release.
Nightingale — already a top pick for PVE in our Tier List — is also called out as an emerging strong PVP pick, described as an upgrade over the previous generation of Speed-625 attackers. If you already have it for PVE, it carries over to Taiketsusen too.
Reaching S-rank without spending on support items
A community guide focused on reaching S-rank without buying Awakening/Courage support items describes substituting them with auto-triggering spirit commands from skill orbs: certain pilots auto-trigger "Courage" once morale hits 130+, and pairing an auto-triggering "Hot Blood" with "Sure Hit" is reported to approximate the effect of the paid support items. Since auto-battle means you can't manually time these, getting them to trigger passively via equipped skills is the practical workaround for a F2P/low-spend team.
