Why parts, not units
The gacha drops unit parts, not finished units — a part grants a special attack when equipped on a compatible mobile suit. So "best unit" really means "best chassis carrying the best part." A rare mobile suit with a weak part underperforms a common one carrying a top-tier part.
Top-tier picks — build your team around these
| Part / Unit | Why it's top-tier |
|---|---|
| Nightingale | MAP (area) attack with high Speed, so its turn comes around often. The reroll guide's #1 target. |
| Hi-ν Gundam | MAP attack with high Speed; also rated a top overall unit for its range and mobility. |
| Meteor Full Burst ミーティア・フルバースト | Not a pure MAP weapon, but a 3-hit debuff paired with a buff/barrier effect — ranked alongside the two above for its team-wide utility. |
1 | Self-heals up to 5,000 HP per turn once morale hits 120+, making it extremely hard to kill in prolonged fights. |
| Dedalian Zam ディーダリオン・ザアム | Can break the normal morale cap using a distributed item, unlocking abilities most other units can never reach. |
General rule: parts that help your whole team just by being deployed — area buffs, debuffs, MAP attacks — are consistently valued over parts that only hit a single enemy hard, no matter how big that hit is. When choosing between two SSR parts, lean toward the one with a team-wide effect.
Best F2P-friendly picks
These five aren't pulled from the random gacha — they come from exchange shops or select-campaign banners, making them realistic targets even without spending or getting lucky.
| Part | Unit | How to get it |
|---|---|---|
| Gravitron Cannon グラビトロンカノン | Grungust | Suppression-point exchange shop — the only MAP weapon obtainable this way, usable even with zero trait upgrades. |
A large evasion/mobility boost that works as an evasion tank. |
Area damage buff for allies within 4 tiles. |
Area attack/accuracy buff. |
Similar area buff to the two above. |
Where this list stops on purpose: Japanese tier-list sites agree closely on the picks above, but diverge once you go further down — so we're not padding this out with a full A/B/C-tier list of guesses. If you want a deeper breakdown, check the Sources below.
