Conclusion
Reading GreatPersonManager.kt, the first great person needs 100 points (× game speed) and the requirement doubles each time. The catch: Great Scientists, Engineers, Merchants and Artists share one pool, so earning any of them doubles the cost of the next one of every kind. Great Prophets have their own pool.
Great Generals and Admirals come from combat instead: the first needs 200 points and each one after needs 50 more.
