Conclusion
Below is every buildable unit in Unciv's built-in ruleset — 110 units, grouped by the era of the tech that unlocks them, with strength, ranged strength, range, movement, production cost, required resource and upgrade path.
Two things the table makes easy to see: which units need a strategic resource (horses, iron, oil, uranium and so on), and how each line upgrades into the next — useful for planning which early units are worth keeping.

Cost is base production before difficulty and game speed. Range is shown for ranged units. Unique units are marked with their civilization. Barbarian-only and great-person units are left out. Data from the game's own files (Civ V: Gods & Kings ruleset that ships with Unciv), read from the source at the commit of 2026-10-02. Updates and mods can change these numbers.
How to Read It
- Strength is used for melee attack and defense; ranged is the ranged attack value.
- Cost scales with difficulty for you (see Difficulty) and with game speed.
- A unit that needs a resource can't be built without a spare copy of it.
- Unit stats don't include promotions or special abilities — check the in-game Civilopedia for those.
FAQ
Why is a unit missing?
Barbarian-only units, great people and some special civilian units aren't in the table. Mods can also add units.
What does an upgrade cost?
Upgrade costs aren't stored as fixed numbers in the unit file, so they're not listed here; the game calculates them.
Are unique units included?
Yes, marked with their civilization. See Civilizations for how each compares with the unit it replaces.
